2023 marks Chris Rogan’s 11th year working at Muckross Park Hotel!
In the summer of 2012, while still in school and with no definite plan to make a career in hospitality, Chris joined the team at Muckross, in the position of waiter at Colgans.
Chris immediately stood out, with his willingness to learn, can-do attitude and natural ease with our guests, which opened doors for him to pursue positions in our fine dining restaurant The Yew Tree along with our banqueting team.
In 2015, Chris joined our Concierge team on a full time basis and quickly progressed to Senior Concierge. He was awarded this position in recognition of his exceptional guest engagement. This in turn led to Chris being awarded ‘Employee of the Year’.
In 2017, while Chris was seeking educational opportunities, he was awarded a place on the TMPD BA (Hons) in Hotel Management at MTU.
Throughout his Four years in college, Chris completed inhouse placements in the Bar, Restaurant, Kitchen, Accommodation, Reservations along with Duty Management.
Upon completion of his studies in 2021, and as recognition for his hard work, Chris was promoted to Restaurant Manager of Colgans, until Spring 2023 where he took up the role of Guest Experience Manager!
Along with many accolades from hotel guests, Chris is highly endorsed by his colleagues as being dependable, very knowledgeable, hardworking, fun and an all-round good guy to be working alongside!
