There are a number of attractions in the National Park including Dinis Cottage, Knockreer House and Demesne, Inisfallen Island, Ladies View and Moll's Gap, the Meeting of the Waters and the Old Weir Bridge. Muckross Abbey and Muckross House & Traditional Farms are a great day out for the family. Guests can also visit Torc Waterdall and O'Sullivan's Cascade. Closer to Killarney town is Ross Castle, a 15th century castle on the banks of the lakes which is open to explore. Walking is very popular with a network of surfaced paths in the Knockreer, Muckross, and Ross Island. The Old Kenmare Road and the track around Tomies Oakwood, there are spectacular views from the top of Torc Mountain also. The Park is home to wild red deer and Sika deer from Japan.
