American Football Game

Saturday 29 August 2020

American College Football is returning to Ireland for the first time in four years.  College football’s oldest rivalry, Notre Dame and Navy, will continue at the Aviva Stadium as part of a five-game run from 2020-2024. Teams will travel across the Atlantic to kick off the season.

Notre Dame and Navy met in Dublin 2012 in the sold-out arena. Football enthusiasts flooded in from all around the world to attend the American game but also to engage with the Irish experience. The Wild Atlantic Way is now one of the most prominent road trip destinations in Europe. After an exhilarating game, journey down to the South-West of Ireland to witness the marvels of Ireland’s famous scenery.

Muckross Park Hotel & Spa resides in the Ireland’s oldest national park, renowned as the “Jewel of Kerry”. It is home to the famous 19th century mansion Muckross House & Gardens, Torc Waterfall, The Lakes of Killarney, and the medieval Ross Castle. The park’s rugged landscape is 25,000 acres, encompassing Ireland’s highest mountain range, the Mcgillycuddy Reeks. Killarney is recognised as the gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2,500km coastline includes Skellig Michael, Cliffs of Moher and Mizen Head.
