Valentines Weekend at Muckross Park Hotel, Killarney
On Saturday 16th February, Michelin Star Chef & Owner of L’Ecrivain Restaurant in Dublin comes to the 5* Muckross Park Hotel for a very special valentine’s weekend event.
Derry Clarke, together with Mike Hayes, Head Chef at Muckross Park Hotel, will create a 5-course Valentines Menu – “Food for Lovers”, with accompanying wines. This event gives valentine’s visitors to the hotel & Kerry locals the opportunity to enjoy Michelin star quality dishes for one night at Muckross Park Hotel, located in the heart of Killarney National Park.
Derry Clarke’s L’Ecrivain Restaurant has retained its Michelin star since 2003 & was named Restaurant of the Year by Georgina Campbell in 2011.
Mike Hayes joined Muckross Park Hotel as Head Chef in March 2012. Mike previously worked as Head Chef at The Lime Tree, Kenmare & The Brehon Hotel, Killarney, as well as Sous Chef at The Cliff House Hotel, Ardmore under Martin Kajuiter. Mike has already received an AA Rosette for GB Shaw’s Restaurant at Muckross Park Hotel.

Muckross Park Hotel & Cloisters Spa is 5* Hotel located in Muckross in the heart of Killarney National Park. It is the oldest hotel in Kerry and dates from 1795. The hotel has 68 rooms & suites.
The hotel also has the AA Rosette winning GB Shaw’s Restaurant as well as the famous Molly Darcy’s Traditional Irish Pub. The hotel is home to Cloisters Spa, awarded a World Luxury Spa Award 2011.
